This little quote popped up while I was surfing the net.
“Don’t get caught up in negative thoughts, they will run your life. You are in charge of your journey; depending on how you think, it will be a positive or a negative one”
If only all pop-ups were that good…

This week has been a great example of it. Mr. Blairs out and Mr. Browns in. For those who like their football, Thierry Henry’s moved on from Arsenal and a collapse is on its way. Ok, maybe not a collapse but realistically mid-table.
These are just people, what about the greater picture?
How about a city? Not just its core but part of its fringes. I have never been against my city having a makeover but the amount of diversion signs really makes it eye-catching.
Well the future’s bright, hopefully not orange. The results can have many successes. Greater business interest, better amenities and a lot of outsiders might be able to point out where the city is on a map. Sorry, forget about the last part. The much needed areas will look twice as good and promote what the city has to offer.

At the time I had no care in the world about what route the bus took, as long as it took me home. Usual journey right? Well… not exactly.
Just got off the train and dashing for the bus. It was a trip out of the city centre. 15 minutes on the bus and I’ll be home. It was dark, it was a saturday night. Didn’t see anyone or any bars on the streets? Hmmm…must be the scenic route.
I recognised a view buildings but the names of the roads were peculiar. Glancing over to my friend, she looked patient. At least she knows where we are. People came on and off the bus. It is a Saturday night, I’m sure people have things to do.
It was the moment when my friend didn’t know where we were that I was worried. Tried asking people if they knew my area. The amount of blank faces was priceless. What do I do? If I stay on the bus it will take me all night to get home. If I get off, how do I get home? The M1 sign appeared. Ohh dear, I think now is the right time to ask the bus driver where we were.
As a result of a journey to no where, we got the wrong line for the bus. Lets just say it was a one of those ”mastercard moment”.
Train tickets: £5 Return
Student price on the bus home: 50p
Finding out that my bus was going in the wrong direction and I was completely lost: Priceless
I’m just glad my friends saw the funny side of it when I got home.

Sitting in the office thinking about where I should have lunch, when really I should be listening to the customer.
Clinging on to save my life and constantly thinking ’don’t look down!’
Exciting isn’t it? Well not particularly. I’m learning a lot about myself in both situations. I should be selling without realising I’m mentally spending. Alternatively, knowing if I put one foot in the wrong place, this could be it.
I enjoy getting away from the hustle of everyday life. Only way we can test ourselves. Try out new things, re-energize. Well…probably not looking down at a 100 foot drop! Ok maybe 50 feet. Probably why I still appreciate the life as the urban monkey.
Sometimes its good to have the best of both worlds. Attempting to interact with nature, appreciating the experience of the office.

I’ve just got back from India earlier this week - I was away for 3 weeks on business. India was a cool 45 degrees most days, in fact I lost 5 kg during my visit. Not bad really considering I ate and drank everything without a care for the world.
We’re planning to take our collection to the bubbling Indian market in 2008. We’re looking at opening a store in Mumbai - India’s New York!
Exciting times ahead - and lots of fun along the way!

For those who don’t know, the government wants all newly built houses to go carbon neutral by 2016. To support this many prototypes have gone on show over the next 4 days in Watford. I’m no architect but the houses they currently have on show look fantastic. They’re modern, cool and is 100% energy efficient then current newly built houses. However, at the moment they are 4 times more expensive to make but this figure is likely to decrease over the next few years as the standards of living increase further and the amount of competition these houses will generate. Its one of a few proposals for the future that I hope the government and housing experts stand by.

There seems to be a direct correlation between art and a civilisation’s advance. Art is the herald of change. The masters of Art took the decision to make art more personal and did so correctly. Since the direction of art today has dispersed and its values and meaning have saturated, it is only natural according to the laws of the free market that there be a new demand for art. Recent movements that recall ideas of intellect, values and philosophy are beginning to prosper, eastern values, in particular.
The wecomeone idea for ethical clothing and designs are those that uplift people and make them feel good. Art gives room to express these values in a deeper and more specific approach. With talented like minded artists we can combine our values and revive the intellect in art.
Wecomeone Institute for Fine Art will be launching later this year. If you are a talented young artist or know of someone that may be interested in submitting their work and getting involed email art@wecomeone.co.uk and our experts will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
